Est. on the shores of False Creek, Vancouver — a place built on warmth, community, and great food.
Riviera was born from a simple, deeply held belief: that dining out should feel like coming home. Not just pleasant service and good food — though we take both very seriously — but the kind of warmth where a stranger becomes a familiar face by the time they finish their first cup of coffee.
Tucked right along the waterfront at Stamps Landing, with False Creek lapping at the edge of the patio and the North Shore mountains painted on the horizon, Riviera grew into something the False Creek community calls their own gathering place.
We named ourselves after the Mediterranean coastline — that stretch of coast where the sun is warm, the food is honest, and people linger over meals for hours. That spirit guides everything we do.
I want every person who walks through our door to feel the same warmth you'd find at a friend's table — good food, honest conversation, and a view that reminds you why you fell in love with this city in the first place.
Guests come in as strangers and leave as regulars. Many know Bela by name before they've even placed their order — her warmth is something reviewers have called out again and again. It's not a policy. It's just who she is.
Riviera is woven into the fabric of Stamps Landing. We sponsor local events, support neighbourhood initiatives, and believe a great cafe is as much a community hub as it is a restaurant.
We cook with seasonal ingredients, source our proteins locally, and change our specials based on what's best that week — not what's convenient. If it isn't fresh, it isn't on our menu.
We remember names, faces, and orders. We make room for dogs on the patio, celebrations at the big table, and quiet mornings for solo diners. Bela sets the tone, and the whole team follows.
